Profile[]

Official Site[]

"A mysterious boy that operates Gruxeon in secret, going unnoticed by his classmates during War Time. What could his motives be?!"

Appearance[]

He has a black crew haircut, while chewing on a lollipop as a habit.

In the beginning, he wears the navy green Londonia uniform. After the announcement of the new virtual country, Ezeldarm, his uniform changes to black representing his country's color.

Background[]

As a child, Kyouji was orphaned after his home city was devastated by war. He was discovered by a local militia, who decided to bring him along. For the next few years, he would be raised as one of their own men, quickly becoming one of its best recruits.

Eventually, Seredy Kreisler and World Saver came and decisively defeated the militia. Impressed with his indifference to his master's death, along with his bravery despite being outnumbered, Seredy offered Kyouji to join them - an offer that the young mercenary was ready to accept.

Chronology[]

In episode 11, he taunts Hikaru Hoshihara in the infirmary.

In episode 21, he continues his battle with Arata and Muraku Houjou, easily gaining the advantage. Haruki and Hikaru arrive to battle him, but he easily defeats Val Sporos, Orvane, and Gunther Yzelphar. He nearly defeats Dot Phasor until Arata activates his Overload, forcing him to retreat. At the school assembely later on, he is present when Seredy arrives and has him transfer to Ezeldarm.

Later, he attempts to recruit Arata into the newly created Ezeldarm with some help from fellow member Charlotte Rein, but is quickly shot down. At the War Time later on, he and the rest of Bandit attack Harness's lab, but are driven off by Arata's new Dot Blastrizer.

In Episode 31-32, he leads the Ezeldarm generals in Seredy's attempted seige in the Underbalance of Second World hidden in the Death Forest. When Arata's Dot Blastrizer arrives, he and Gruxeon briefly fight before Seredy interferes. Kyouji, upset, demands he stay out of this fight, only for Seredy to tell him otherwise and attack him with Phantom, having no need for his former employee. Furious, Kyouji tries to fight back, only to be easily defeated.

Despite this setback, however, Kyouji refuses to give up. Eager to get revenge on Seredy for betraying him, he manages to escape from the Control Pod room and spends the next two Episodes evading detection from Kamui Daimon security, and later, World Saver troops when they occupy the island. Using scraps from the LBX graveyard, he rebuilds and upgrades his Gruxeon, not only merging its Hell Scythe and Hell Blaster together, but also giving it a knife and rifle for a left arm. He also has a transmitter radio keep him updated on current events, grinning menacingly when he learns that LOST LBX players get gassed to death during War Time.

In Episode 35, he ambushes a World Saver soldier and steals his clothes to gain access to the Academy. Then, in what was either a rare act of kindness or a deliberate ploy to lure his enemies in, he gives Reina Mito access to the gondulas which allow human transport through the Second World, allowing her to make an attempt at rescuing her father. When questioned about his motives, Kyouji simply states that he wants to get back at Seredy.

Trivia[]

  • During real time his classmates do not notice him but when a war time starts he suddenly becomes a popular player.
  • It is shown in episode 22 that he can also use Overload.
  • It is revealed that Kyouji Itan is not his real name.
  • After Seredy's defeat, Kyouji cannot be found at the scene where the national police captures the World Savers, the Ezeldarm students and Kaito.
  • Due to the absence of Ezeldarm, Kyouji's life took a different turn in the manga: while he's still an orphan, his role was more of a bully, who had a few altercations with Sena Arata. And while his Gruxeon was ultimately lost, and Kyouji had to leave the island, Sena Arata extended a friendly hand to Kyouji who, for the first time, had a fun LBX battle.
