Minerva Kai (ミネルバ改 Mineruba Kai) is the reinforced version of Ran Hanasaki's Minerva in Danball Senki W.

Background[]

This LBX was used by Ran Hanasaki in the Danball Senki Movie.

In show, Professor Yamano upgraded Minerva while working on the Ikaros units, needing more time to work on those two. Kai debuted with Ran controlling it in the pods, battling Omega Dain's usters, destroying with a mix of close and long ranger. Minerva Kai leads a few more Buster LBX into a trap where Metamo and Uzaki activate a part of the shuttle which evaporates the remaining LBX.

In episode 38, it uses Homura Kuzushi Kiwami to create a hole for NICS to penetrate through. Later, Ran uses it again in a 3 on 1 battle against Kirito Kazama's Hakai-O Kirito Custom, Joker: Kriito Custom, and Deqoo OZ with Ikaros Force & Zero, primarily focusing on Joker: Kirito Custom. Intially, Kai is knocked back into the Roman Ruins, but with her wielders determination, Minerva Kai kicks Joker into the air, juggling it with a barrage of kicks and punches. It uses Homura-Kuzushi, Kiwami on Joker: Kirito Custom, eliminating it from the battle with a Break Over.

In episode 39, Minerva Kai battles Zeus with the aid of Ikaros Force and Zero.

In episode 43, Minerva Kai battled the mysterious Vector, only to be what was later revealed to be ghostjacking by Mizel's Vector. It laid assisting Vector in combat briefly attacking its own allies until it lost to Fenrir Flame and Break Over'd.

In episode 55, Minerva Kai is sent out again against Vector’s ghostjacked LBX, easily dodging launcher missile fire but as Ran gets annoyed by the numbers, she finds defeating the large number of Nazus difficult, and Minerva Kai is blindsided by a missile that hits her in the back, much to her surprise. The ghostjacked LBX bombard Minerva Kai into a Break Over.
