Renjirou Ayabe (綾部 連次郎) is one of the characters of Danball Senki Wars.
Chronology[]
In episode 1 he was standing in the classroom when Arata and Hikaru were introduced to the class. After class was over, he left with Gendou.
In episode 15, Kaito rudely tells him that his presence annoys him.
In episode 19, Suzune also asks him while he stands around the dorm, to which he responds has special permission to be around there.
In episode 30, it was revealed that he was a spy for Seredy Kreisler as he stole Rikuya Tougou's DC Offenser.
As Gendou talks with Seredy and Ayabe, Ayabe reveals that he had first joined World Saber back when he and Seredy were serving in the military. He was filled with dreams at the time, but as he grew older, he watched Seredy become an android, and he longed to live.
However, he began to doubt their actions when Seredy went to extreme measures to prove his point, that being making Ayabe start setting the control pods of the students with poison gas that would be released if the player's LBX become lost.
He finally voices his concerns and desire to stop their schemes, pleading to Seredy and stating that the world had understood their message and the children could help take wars away from the world. Seredy responds by saying that Ayabe is worthless and shoots him, and states that he believed that Ayabe should have been the one to understand him most.
Ayabe soon dies in Gendou's arms.
Despite being ordered to fill the control pods with poison gas, it is revealed that it was sleeping gas instead, to which Gendou speculated that Ayabe was the one that had done that, since he was the one that had set the control pods to do so.
